the Odd Numbers
"Retrofitted for Today" Re-release of this San Jose, CA - based trio's classic 1994 release. 12 tracks of a world gone totally mod. Catchy and tight melodies have these songs sounding as fresh today as they would have at the height of the mod movement. The youthful melancholy of their ultra mod-influenced style of sonic pleasures inevitably invite comparisons to the Who, the Buzzcocks and the Jam. SSM CD6901 REVIEWS: "Poppy punk. The first kind that I can tolerate since CRIMPSHRINE. Now, if it's pop punk, and I can tolerate it, you know it's gotta be good if you actually listen to it - CAUSTIC TRUTHS MAGAZINE #84 "Excellent re-issue of one of the most underated bands around. I can't understand why this band have not made it bigger...surely they would fit in and be a great addition to a label like Lookout!. Great indie punk mod rock for you hear. If you haven't heard the odd numbers make the effort to check them out right now...especially if you're a fan of CHISEL/TED LEO/HI FIVES...."
