"How's My Driving??"
2003 CD Compilation

This 16-track compilation cd unleashes a high octane mix of music driven hard, blending the tricked-out sounds of old and new - the result is a super charged sonic experience. Other than Blacklist Brigade (London), all bands herald from the SF bay area (including the Cliftons, Texas Thieves, the Forgotten, Los Olvidados, Fang, the Sick, Clay Wheels and more). Several unreleased tracks are included.

REVIEWS:

"Killer cover art. Some of the most legendary bands in Skate Rock. Produced by Jonny Manak. 16 tracks. There's only one band that didn't fit: SLOE. They just weren't right for this comp. I could go on all day about how cool this comp is, but I'd rather you just go get this thing. You like SKATEROCK? Then you'll love this."

- CONCUSSION MAGAZINE

"Straightforward skate punk material, done at breakneck pace and raw, with a couple of throw you for a loop tracks including the always great odd numbers. . . . Great for blowing the big boomin' hip hop cars off the road, for sure."

- Shredding Paper Magazine (Issue #17)

"Man, what an awesome looking cover - the music...it rules...I seriously like all the tracks, but my favorites are the household names like the Forgotten with "Devil's Child," and the Cliftons' "Strung out on Dope." You also get classic tracks from Los Olvidados with "So Dull," and Fang with "A-OK." The Fang song is a previously lost recording and just drives home the fact that Fang was one of the best Bay Area bands ever besides the Doobie Brothers...... The SuperSpeedway comp blows the doors off Nascar races."

- Zero Magazine (November 2003)

"OK, if you only intend to buy one compilation this year, make fucking sure it's this one. This is exactly the kick up the arse punk rock needs in these terrible times. True raw, basic punk rock that is not here to impress but to wake you up. Bands featured are: FREE BEER, CLAY WHEELS, CURBSIDE, THE CLIFTONS, TEXAS THIEVES, THE LINCOLNS, SLOE, THE ODD NUMBERS, ANGRY FOR LIFE, THE SICK, NOWHERE FAST, LOS OLVIDADOS, THE RESISTOLEROS, BLACKLIST BRIGADE, THE FORGOTTEN and FANG. Fucking fantastic stuff right here, forget about all the bullshit stuff and get a dose of the unfeigned, true spirit."

" What a great compilation! This is non-stop skate punk that you cannot live without. I mean there's old school from the likes of Free Beer, they had one release in 1981! The Cliftons come atcha with gritty, alcohol and drug-induced punk with their song "Strung Out On Dope". The lincolns keep things fast and upbeat with their track "Bullet In The Brain"! I mean this is a speedy, heavy rockin' comp that leaves me craving more and more. My first listen reminded me of the old days with my skateboard, tearing ass, and breaking bones. This is such an awesome soundtrack for summer skate sessions! Then there is new school power punk from The Sick, I love this song, "Now Vs. Then", which can be found on several other comps, but still a solid tune! There are sixteen tracks on the disc, and they go fast, so its well worth the time to listen to it twice or three times through. Also, don't miss the intense skater anthem "Skateboarding's Not A Crime" from Nowhere Fast...all 45 seconds of it. Totally heady! Need something new during your pipe sessions? Pick up this comp for inspiration to pull that 540! -MG
