The Cliftons
"Sex, Drugs and Alcohol"

Remarkable debut release from Newark, California’s #1 troublemakers. 9 tracks of unrelenting, hectic punk mayhem and debauchery. A blistering and tasteless sonic assault against everything that is good and decent. Messy yet brilliant! Listen responsibly.

Reviews:

"This is the best CD I've ever listened to. I love the Dwarves and GG Allin and this CD takes off where those guys left it. Fast, furious, dangerous, and short songs (30 seconds to a minute - - - ruling!) about drinkin', druggin', fuckin', and skateboarding, what are you waiting fer' . . . BUY THIS RELEASE AND ANYTHING ELSE THESE CLOWNS PUT OUT!!!"
- Jabber/CD Baby Review

"Sometimes there's nothing better than quick and dirty, and that's how the Cliftons deliver it"
- Thrasher Magazine

"The Cliftons play fast and loud sick punk rock . . . the only thing missing from this disc are the drunken fights in the pit, the spilled beer and the broken bottles."
- Zero Magazine

"FUCK YEAH! See, that's what you want to say the minute you put a disc in. It starts out with the track "Too High to Die" and continues to skate fast all the session through. These guys are definitely skate punk, but not your 'clean happy any body can get into it' type. It's raw, unbalanced, scraped up road rash played hard with reckless abandon. These guys would fit in with Fear, Meatmen, and Murder Junkies, just a tad faster. A band for all you SkumFuks out there. I hope to see them live. If you skate you should at least listen to your peers bands. Get it . . . now."

- Concussion Magazine #17

"How could you not love a CD called Sex, Drugs, and Alcohol? Well, I guess if your straight edge . . . this wouldn't be your favorite title. But, I'm not straight edge and neither is this release! Nine songs that have punk fall out influences from Black Flag and Circle Jerks. The music is fast, the lyrics are pissed off, this is real punk music, not too many bands remember how to play punk like this these days but, The Cliftons remember . . . and do it well. Very recommended!"
- Caustic Truths (Issue #87)

"Call it Skate Rock, call it Hardcore, call it Punk. Whatever you call it, just don't be scared when your stereo blows up after you put on this album. The Cliftons are that rare breed of band that claim old-school respect while playing in the new age od Punk Bullshit. Hard, fast and loud, these guys provide the soundtrack for the drunk apocaplypse that we all find ourselves in more times than not. If you are the kind of person who likes to get fucked up with a bunch of rowdy friends (and you know you are), get this album, put it in, shut up and hold on 'cause The Cliftons are here for you.

I couldn't make an opinion if I'd like this album by the title of it then the first verse of "Gimme 'nother beer, light me up a joint, line me up some coke- let's get wasted!" made me feel dumb for even thinking twice. Add topics like skateboarding and beer to the title and you got yerself straight ahead rippin' skate punk. They also play by the simple "keep it simple shithead" motto and clock 9 tracks in just under 10 minutes. Great for when a party's out of control and you wanna completely destroy it. You know you like these things, so what are you waiting for?
- Heckler

"As soon as I put this disc in, I knew it was totally my bag. 9 songs in just over 9 minutes of straight forward, provoking punk rock with absolutely no pretension and no bullshit. Great packaging too. Absolutely no faults here... I go through about 100 releases before I find something of this calibre that is truly tailor-made for my tastes...fucking awesome!"
